The inanimate nature monument located on the 4km section of the river within the commune of Susiec, is the largest rock threshold within the Roztocze edge zone. The Jelenia Valley, which flows through the river, was made of Cretaceous rocks. As a result of tectonic movements, it is 152 cm high and 920 cm wide. The south-eastern slope angle is 45 degrees and the north-west 40 degrees. The walls of the valley are 50 and 35 meters long. The Jelenia Valley is V-shaped and in many places has the character of a mountain valley. The sources of the river in the form of a fissure and layer outflow are located in the town of Susiec-Skwarki, they are classified as efficient sources. These sources supply a water reservoir called 'Susiecki Lake' or 'Morskie Oko', which, together with the dunes and forests surrounding it, creates a beautiful corner. Trout Stream and Lipień live in the waters of the Jeleń River. Nearby you can meet the Black Stork, Czyżyk and Mountain Wagtail.
